Meeting Iona Monahan
Iona Monahan interviewed me years ago. I met up with her at her hotel room in Midtown NY. It was pouring rain that day and I had forgotten my umbrella. My favorite vintage leather jacket was soaked through.
When she opened the door, I apologized profusely and said, "I'm sorry, I'm a bit of a drowned rat." She replied, "You are a very beautiful drowned rat."
I ended up on the front page of the Style section with a giant photo and article.
